Launched in January of 1987 in Riyadh, Al Riyadiah is an Arabic language daily newspaper with an exclusive focus on sports. The newspaper provides news coverage as well as research, analysis and commentary on domestic, regional and international sporting events. The paper targets primarily Saudi and GCC youths and sports enthusiasts. No major local competitors currently exist.
